Explaining the hard to pronounce stuff:
*SLSA is a great natural alternative to Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. It is derived from coconut oil, and confirms to Ecocert’s natural and organic cosmetic standard. Made with organic ingredients. Not an organic product.
**Sodium Alginate is a natural gelling agent taken from the cell walls of brown algae
***Polysorbate 80 is a nonionic surfactant and emulsifier often used in foods and cosmetics that helps the oils and colors in our bath bombs to disperse more evenly in the bath water rather than pooling on top or staining the sides. It also prevents the the oils and mica from clinging to the tub and the bather. This ingredient is important for us to add because it eliminates any ring around the tub or floating mica (colorant) that can occur if we didn't use it. Also oil on the bottom of the tub can make it slippery and this also helps avoid that risk. NOTE: Color rings can be left in tubs if they are not absolutely clean before using dyes, lakes or mica, no matter how much poly 80 you may use.
**** We use FD&C batch tested colorant from trusted suppliers.
